Steeped in history the Pub is in a great location for walking, cycling and bird watching. Close to Stansted House and Racton Monument the Pub is in a brilliant location for those who enjoy taking in the sights of the English Countryside and Local History.

We are the only independent Free House in the area which means we keep our prices incredibly keen and offer our customers what means the most to them; brilliant beer and a great atmosphere. We are well known for our well-kept ales, beers and ciders - we source locally wherever we can.

We offer a great pub menu Saturday and Sundays offering pub favourites such as Scampi, Chips and Peas and a great Sausage Sandwich using local Sausages from the amazing Adsdean Farm.

Our large sunny beer garden is the biggest beer garden for miles and can host a number of events, whatever the size. Please do contact us for more information.

The pub is lucky to have two large screens either end of the bar which show a plethora of live sport throughout the week on Sky, BT and Amazon.
